Prospector Drilling and Tool Co, Inc., (PDTC) is a professional services provider based in Alvin, Texas. For over twenty years, the consultants and principals at PDTC have been involved in providing services to the solid waste management industry across the Gulf Coast Region and beyond.
Stefan Stamoulis’ entrepreneurial experience began in 1993 when he founded Hydrogeologic/ Environmental Testing (H/ET) to compete in the municipal solid waste industry as a consultant. H/ET’s business has continued to thrive for the past eighteen years, during which H/ET and Mr. Stamoulis have successfully performed countless projects across the United States.
After the success of H/ET, Mr. Stamoulis founded Prospector Drilling and Tool Co., (PDTC) with his wife, Sandra. PDTC has allowed Mr. Stamoulis to develop innovative tools for the solid waste industry. The first successful tool, in design and application, was recently awarded a patent under the Green Technology Pilot Program through the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Additionally, two patents are still pending under the Green Technology Pilot Program.
Mr. Stamoulis is also an active community member and sits on the board of two nonprofit entities: the Transitional Learning Center, a leading brain rehabilitation hospital, and the Moody Endowment both of Galveston Island, Texas.
Mr. Stamoulis is a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University, Fort Worth, Texas (BBA), Tarleton State University, Stephenville, Texas (BS), and Pepperdine University, Malibu, California (MBA), and is currently enrolled in the Masters Program for Sustainability and Environmental Management at the Harvard Extension School, Harvard University.
From the start of her career, Mrs. Stamoulis has been an entrepreneur. After experiencing great success for many years in the real estate market, she owned and operated a thriving retail business for over ten years. She chose to take a new path and joined H/ET operations in 2000, subsequently co-founding Prospector Drilling & Tool Co., Inc. in 2001.
